New to Wii, what games are good?
I bought a Wii today, and I'm enjoying Wii Sports and Samba de Amigo.
I've got the BBC iPlayer working as well and very impressed with how easy that was.
I'm about to fire up some old Gamecube games as well, just because I can!!
What games are worth getting on the Wii?
Mario Kart?
Star Wars: Force Unleashed?
Wii Music?
Sonic Olympics?
Cheers

mario kart and zelda are the only decent games I've seen on it - most are childish min-games you'll quickly get bored of (e.g. mario party 8 is essentially some crap board games but you get to roll the dice virtually using the wii controller. woo.)
disappointing that there's nothing really out there beyond re-purposed old titles (Zelda and Mario Kart) - Nintendo have been very lazy on the games front.
We barely turn it on any more - the 360 is always busy - which is a shame - interested to hear of any games people genuinely think have long term playability.

Got bought the Wii Zapper with Links Crossbow training and a game called Ghost Squad for Christmas. Never been off Ghost squad, good fun shooting game. Also can recommend Heat Seeker.
As for gamecube games, I also have a couple of these myself, can recommend the Star Wars Rogue Squadron games and also the Mario Kart Double dash.
Don't forget if you have a Wii points card there are some nice old classic games to download of the Wii Shopping Channel, including some N64 and C64 titles. Latest download I now have is the Pool/Snooker game which is very good for 800 points.
Not sure if people are aware of this, but if you sign up to the Nintendo club you can redeem points off games bought towards reward points for which you can claim gifts.

And the games that are worth playing (mario kart smash bros etc) have been ruined by online cheats which nintendo do sod all about.
