Default Ooooo PS3 - which game next!

I got a PS3 for chrimbly with Burnout Paradise, NFS:Undercover, LBP and Resistance 2

I've only played LBP and NFS so far and - wow - although the NFS 3D engine team need to tidy up their texture joining routines; lots of tearing.

Whom ever said the controllers are too small - they're right! I'm 5ft10, normal(ish ) stature, normal hands and NFS with the dual shock 3 it's like trying to keep hold of, and press buttons, on a bourbon biscuit!

Anyhoo I have a £20 HMV voucher which, to you and me, is tant amout to another game

What do you all suggest (no racing simulations - i am rubbish at them) ?

ps, my firmware and game updates didn't take very long at all - my advice, if you don't want constant updates, is not to connect to the internet

I got too many games over chrimbo. Buzz (quiz game which was well funny playing against my parents), Uncharted, Singstar (**** take present from my mate) and have only just started Fallout 3.

Ive not played Uncharted yet the demo was great. Is basically like Tomb Raider but you can pick it up for under £15 as platinum title these days.

I downloaded the DeadSpace demo and I thought it was woeful, everything moved too slowly. Is the full game any better?

You haven't done Burnout yet???

Spent several hours online with a mate in the US last night and it was utterly flawless, opened up the session and had a dozen people online with various races and challenges and a good laugh was had by all.

It's also not ruined by ***** as smacking in to people is a key point of the game!!

I quite enjoyed Uncharted. A bit like Tomb Raider, but with much simpler puzzles. Played through the whole thing in an afternoon, but I enjoyed it while it lasted

Ratchet and Clank is well worth a look as well (if you like platform gaming type games). I really enjoyed that one

HMV are doing Guitar Hero III with the controller for PS3 reduced to £35.

I bought it at the weekend and am thoroughly enjoying it so far - if you like rock music then go for it. I am suffering with sore "guitar wrist" though.

I bought it, guitar buttons didn't work, exchanged it, guitar won;t synch, getting another tomorrow.

Prefer the controller though as does my mrs. Shame they've removed that functionality in World Tour, it's got much better songs.

My green button wouldn't work at first, but after a few minutes of "rocking out" () it sorted itself out and is now spot on.

I love it, really good action to the guitar and if you get a combo right it feels really good. I can't imagine it being the same with a controller though.

Addicted to MotorStorm Pacific Rift at the moment. Burnout Paradise is an awesome game though - the bikes are mental

No-one mention MGS4 yet?

Another for Uncharted and Burnout Paradise, great games.

My PS3 arrived from the UK today, if I can find which one of the 223 boxes it's packed in I'll have a go later , the wife bought me Little Big Planet for Chrimbo, anyone played it ? any good?

Games are so expensive in Oz compared to the UK, looking at some of the sale prices at Play and HMV I will have to see if they post to Oz, 17.99 for fall out 2 for instance, a steal, its about $100 over here, 48 gbp outrageous (sorry no pound symbol on an oz keyboard), online shopping in Oz aint what it is in the UK thats for sure A market there for someone to exploit !!

I traded LPB yesterday, just didn't get it.

And finally gave in and got GH:WT and now learning guitar
Bit more awkward than the controller but working way through easy career to get used to it.

I know what you mean about LBP. I've been playing through it, but most of the time just get frustrated by the awful controls
