insane level for cod4 is just too much for my blood pressure. Got all the way to the end of the level, the ferris wheel one and can't get past that part. Damn frustrating having spent so long getting there that i can't restart from the ferris wheel but the very beginning.

Talk to the captain take his claymores and plant them at the gaps between the fences and the mound on the left (looking back towards where you came from).

Hide in the Ferris wheel ticket booth, under the bench, and hope a lucky grenade doesn't get you, then when the chopper lands leg it and watch for guys nearby. You don't have to worry about your oppo, he doesn't die. It took me ages to get through, I yelled the house down once I got past. I'm just stuck in the missile silos, I'm just not quick enough.

The missile silo was absolute toss took me fecking ages to get through the actual silos because if you didn't get shot from the guy in front the guy in the opposite tunnel picked you off and your guys did bugger all to help

yeah i've done that, showered in grenades one always gets me. Got the second wave i think, so will it say when the chopper lands so i know when to leg it, it only takes one bullet to die...

Basically at the bottom of the screen you will have a distance meter telling you how far the chopper is away you will see it come in from the rhs and land in the square in front of your position then you leg it (there are some guys that come out of the chopper to give supporting fire.

I haven`t even finished GOW, I got stuck on the train and never got any further, yeah I know I`m crap but frustration got the better of me and I gave up and went back to Richard Burns Rally.
My wife doesn`t know one game from the other so when GOW 2 appears she`ll never know

I went and hid on the floor behind the building thing to the right of the ferris wheel. Not straying into the radioactive area. I held them off from there until the chopper landed then made the dash for it. bitch of a level!

Whilst we are sidetracked with COD4 how the hell do you get through the tv studio on insane ? I get as far as the side offices and then just get my **** handed to me.. :0/

Do you mean the big room after the server room?

I go straight ahead into the small offices then work my way to where there is a gap and a small office (a couple of bad guys are in there) ahead just to the right is where the buggers come from and just lay down some intensive fire and grenade throwing making sure i don't make myself a target.

It took me quite a few times to do it.

Yep that's the one, I get to the office you mention and then just seem to magnetically attract every single grenade, bloody frustrating...

Does the enemy actually stop appearing or is it only when you get to a certain checkpoint ?

stops at checkpoint. Just got to know where the checkpoint is and leg to it

As Stefanie said the checkpoints halt the spawning of enemies the one in this room seems to be the corridor you have to get to just opposite the offices you get grenaded (sp?) in.

its supposed to be, i've been there many times and it hasn't activated. grrrrrr

I took ages through there, a quick trip to the right handside, past the photocopier, then back to the equipment room, then across the other side and move through the offices, across an open space into a small office seems to stop most of the spawning. I also recommend getting the guys with RPG's on the mezzanine whilst in the equipment room, as that seems to allow some good guys to get up there after a while which helps draw fire, and yes if you stay still for even a few seconds your undercrackers turn into super strength grenade magnets.
