Question getting into harddrive?

is there any way i can access the hard drive on my laptop that won't turn on with my other laptop, using any cables etc

you could remove the hard drive from laptop one and get a hard drive caddy andthat would enable you to plug it into laptop two via USB or similar...just remember to get the corrct size caddy - should be 2.5" for a laptop

how much are these caddys my friend? can they be picked up from say pc world.

Probably but bet they sting you.
Maplin have one at 20 quid but if you can wait a coupel fo days for postage, get yourself something like this

cheers mate, but just another Q. my working laptop is running vista and the caddy in the link doesn't say its compatible with that.

Chances are it will be, they just haven't paid M$ to say its tested on Vista.

Obviously there are still some that really dont work, but you'd be unlucky.

USB things tend to be good.
