Post pcb design software (free)?

I use solidworks to design in 3d, product design etc, in some part i want to put pcb's etc at the mo I design these as normal solid parts to check fit etc, but i'm just looking around for some software to get these pcb into the real world i.e. gerber files etc. So far all the freebies i've looked at seem so difficult to use (so used to solidworks!!)

Anyone know of anything out there thats simple, basic single side circle with the bottom cut off !!

we use PCB wizard at school, but some of my friends have a downloaded progrmam called "livewire" basicly, you draw your board, drag your componets on, draw you tracks on and then print it!

if you need, I can find the exact name, and place to download, but google should find straight away.

Scott.

Have you tried Kicad? Main Page - KiCad

I used it to design a couple of PCBs last year, it worked fine. It's not really up to commercial / professional standards, but for simple boards it's quite capable.

For manufacturing I used PCB Train - Fast Turn Around PCB Prototyping - Who We Are - they're cheap, but make sure you pay for bare board test.
