Ive dabbled in flight sims, and ended up with 20 Gigs worth of add ons

I stuck with the predecessor to FSX as for one in ran much better on my laptop plus there wasnt really any addons around for FSX

Get yourself a saitek controller though, apparently one of the best things you can get for FS

And FSPassengers means you have to deal with passengers on your flights and you get scored on how well they are, so make sure you landings are good and that you stick a movie on for them too

I used to like flying over Vegas, Grand Canyon and around New York in an Apache Gunship

Concorde is quite hard too, and with Jets I only managed to just about be able to take off, well at least get the nose up, but then Autopilot is quite good, I had an addon that let you set your flightplans, but you still had to manually take off and land

Blackbird was quite good as was the Space Shuttle too but a limitation of the software means you cant go higher than 99,999 feet

Followed MS FS up the builds from a early(ish) version supplied on 4 floppy disks, to FS2000, FS2002, FS2004 and now FSX !

My landings are still crap, but what's the saying ? Any landing you can walk away from is great. Well that would probably apply to my FS landings !

Yes I tried X-plane many years ago, but havent seen it for quite a long time, so not sure how much better it has got, although I still preferred FS in many ways
