Laptop wont run from battery?

Laptop wont run from battery?
I have just changed the battery on my Amillo Pro because it would not run from battery only but new battery is the same.
I have been into power options and the battery is showing fully charged, but you unplug the 240v power lead and the lappy switches off, any ideas as to why

my old laptop does this too, and ive tried 3 different batteries, so im guessing its something to do with the charging circuit or the bit that makes it run off battery
Ive taken it apart and cant see anything obvious like dry joints etc, so I just take it that it will not run off battery anymore
