Default Changing a specific key

My old thinkpad x22 popped its clogs a few months back, suspected motherboard fault.

i was cunning and picked up a "spares and repairs" x22 on ebay with a cracked screen + no hardrive/charger etc etc

my cunning plan worked, 20 mins to swap over my good screen and i have a new x22 for 36quid

problem

went to type on the keyboard and the @/" keys are switched, strange as i used the old hard drive?

DOHHHH my actual layout/keys are different, cant swap them as my enter key is slightly different and so is the "/@ key on the new thinkpad (possible usa actual keyboard?)

i swapped the windows settings to american english and got used to having the @ key above number 2, but i now dont have a pound sign key >> $$$$

dohh!!!

can i swap this somehow in windows??

cool, was just looking into this. Was about to look for a keyboard mapping tool. Sounds like you have what you will need.

yes, but an American keyboard has a slightly different layout, with a few other things in different places, and no £ key at all.

actually i have just noticed a few other differences

'`'`````'' /?.#
