Default new graphics ??

im considering upgrading the graphics card on my pc to an 8800gts card !! will there be much of a noticeable difference as compared to my 7800gt, the pc spec is amd dual core 6000 and 4 gig of ram, but my monitor can only go up to 1280x768, will this affect any benefits of the 8800gts ???

Possibly take your old card off you if you are selling it

Need to upgrade my Nvidia Geforce 5200 113Mb and AMD Athlon 1.8GHz with 512mb of RAM.

Got a PS3, PS2, PSP and a 360 sitting there but this old steam powered Babbage special does me fine for the old rfactor (with all the settings on low). Now there is a Porsche 2007 Cup Series released it is outwith the boundries of my machines potential.

1280X768 seems an odd resolution. Are you sure you can't get 1280*1024?

In answer to your question: Hell yes

If you don't plan upgrading your monitor any time soon I would only get the 320Mb version of the 8800gts.
Yes it will be plenty faster.

AFAIK it is about on a par with a 640Mb 8800gts until you turn on AA and then it falls behind a bit.

Don't know if it helps, but I went from 2x7800GTX cards in SLI, to a single 8800GTX card. The single 8800gtx is quicker...
