BT Broadband & telephone - HELP ?
My telephone line has started cutting out on dialling in to my house.
BT 151 says it's my equipment as the test line behind the face plate works ok.
once I plug the face plate back in which then connects all myextensions the line cuts out on dial up. on dial out it works fine.
I have disconnected all equipment from the extensions and have checked all the extensions wiring and they are all sound.
Is there any test equipment I can buy to show where the fault is ?
BT offer an engineer to attend for the measly sum of 100 callout + 90 an hour if it's my equipment that's at fault ... so that's 200 quid for an hours work
any help or advice greatly appreciated
- Mark.

Isolate each extension, and connect up,,,,that way you will find the defective
extension....
it could be a duff microfilter....
you need a known good one, then connect the known good one in at each extension.... that way you will know which one is duff
