Apple, new mac mini, iLife08...
why the fvck do we use windows
I just watched the demo for iLife08 and whilst i wouldn't organise my photo's etc like 'Events', it's so cool! the speed the images go full screen size is criminally fast
and a core2duo mac mini for £300 ($600) - a desktop with 'Office', iLife and a cracking OS for that money!
I'm off to the states in a month or so. I'm defo going to get one
I realise MS works hard at OS's like vista, but they need more artists and innovators in the design department i think.
it's been a while since i saw mac MS office, but even that's better looking than windows MS office isn't it?
now they've got the new unix certification and that i don't dev anymore really - i can't see why i should stick to windows!

I use both, love my Mac Pro and all of the iLife stuff that came with it.
Haven't used Mac Office in a while, it was pretty terrible to be honest. VMWare or Parallels let you run Windows apps in a unified manner (i.e. not tied to a 'Windows' desktop window) so this isn't such an issue IMO. Would be interested to hear if anyone is running Visual Studio 2005 in this way?

What spec is your iMac? Friend of mine is thinking about using Parallels/Fusion to do a bit of Visual Studio coding.
Same chap has just installed iLife 08 and iWork 08 (or whatever the new version is called). He said that it is very nice indeed.
