Yes twas sh1te, was getting absolutly slaughtered! Myself and Blowdog had some good games though later that evening. The best was on Vegas where some guy bought about 20 Smoke Grenades at the beginning of each round and chucking them, made my FPS go from 60 to 12! I could not stop laughing as the CT came up the stairs and did not know what the hell was going on!

Yes was getting right pis**d off with that UK2 server, every time I walked round a corner Urban Flag was there with a AWP !!! he must have got me with about 6 headshots in a row. I will have to try and buy a suit of armour next time.
Suppose it did not help that I didn’t notice Morpheus was running in the tray on my PC !! I even experienced lag for the first time !!(Sorry)
Also everybody mentions cheats in CS, what are the most common giveaways for somebody using them, as on one of the games last night I was watching on of the other side (after getting shot again!) and he was shooting through walls. I couldn’t see if there was someone on the other side, or he was just shooting the wall (if so why??)

IMO it is much harder to spot true cheats than some believe. C/S is odd in that when you're doing well, the Server believes you to be more skillful so your shots are regarded as more accurate, you get more kills etc and you do even better. If you are at the bottom of the scores it becomes increasingly hard to get kills and move up. So someone runing away with it the top of the scores isnt automatically a cheat.

Persistent head shots and shooting through walls (without spraying) are good signs though. On some maps (particulalry Assault) I always shoot through the walls /ceilings at particular points 'cos theres a good chance someone is hiding there. (Especially if they've camped there for the last couple of rounds) so its not definate either.

That would also explain quite a few times last night I run round a corner and even when we both have different guns, health etc they kill me every time!!! I would have thought I would have got them at least once.

Try to start your aim at just above the chest, when the gun recoils it will go upwards and hopefully shoot them in the face, when you get the hang of it you can usually can kill them everytime. Also after you die find the guy you have just shot to see what his HP are like, if they are still high you missed! If the health points are 20 - 30 then you might of missed a few when the gun was going mental with recoil or your just not fast enough! Also they may of had body armour which increases the hit points on various parts of the body by various amounts. I personally cannot control the AK at all and I may as well throw a handful of bullets at them! I prefer the COLT (I think the rifle with the silencer?) as it seems to be accurate at long range and bloody leathal at close range.

I'm sure others have the full technical detial, but the accuracy anf effectiveness of your shooting are down to server perception and changes depending on various factors.

The number of times I've headshotted people just by looking in their general direction one map when I've been top and the next map with a bit of bad-luck you're at the bottom and it can take entire clips just to kill the person at the top.

Apparently rescuing hostages and planting/defusing bombs help the server think you're good aswell.

It can be quite frustrating

I find I have to move my mouth up and down to make any use of the HeadSet - Does explain you're rather unhelpful grunts though - Spoken words make it so much easier to let people know where you've seen that last pesky T

Agree with Deano. My aim is generally dreadful, but there have been games where I waved the AK at people and they were dead. I don't know why.

Last time we were on Assault, I couldnt do any wrong and even shot 2 of you from the roof above the front door while you were at the door, then jumped down and shot the remaining CT who was crouching looking at me.

Other times, I cant get past the stairs.

Prodigy is the worst map for that I find. The corridor to the right of CTs seems a haven for some people, I can never get down there.

I was playing all day yesterday and saw five people get WONID banned for using wallhack and aimbots. It is really really easy to spot cheaters sometimes. On assualt two guys were camping outside next to the truck and with AWP's were shooting people inside, there is no way they were playing fairly! I agree that in assault you can shoot through the door, vent and on some parts of the wall as there are certain places you know people stand sometimes. But after being shot for the third time in the head while at the very back at the top, I watched him and sure enough he was cheating. The admin banned both of them. Another cheat was on dust where he had an AK and was just running about and killing 3 - 4 people in one go, he was doing stupid stuff like jumping around and killing people who were on the other side of the map with headshots. He was running away from three of us, all of us started to unload on him, he spun and shot three rounds off killing us all! Another guy was on inferno and had a score of 27 - 1 he got WONID banned shortly after shooting five people in the head when we all rushed him. I think it is easy to spot the cheaters, if you watch them after you die you can see by the way they move they have no skill and really are cack.

I did get banned from a server even though I was not cheating, it was a UK2 custom map server on a he_tennis map. A couple of times I threw grenades before the round started and killed 5 people, I got banned shortly after!

p.s. Paul, you can shoot through some walls, assault is a ******* sometimes as you can get shot in loads of places, through vents, walls, doors and boxes! That guy you mention was either, using a cheat (see above), bored and shooting the wall (Camping is very boring!!!!), shooting trying to scare people or being really stupid and giving away his position and letting everyone know he has and AWP so sneak up and stab him in the face!

p.p.s I think it is funny to cry "aimbot or wallhack" at anyone who kills me in the head

Oh yeah this is a bit unrelated but have you seen that when you use the headset your mouth on your character moves up and down, it is quite sacry! Next time we play check it out!
