for convenience yes wireless doesnt need a cable to the router but its slower and less reliable than using ethernet cable, so if its in the same room...stick with ethernet

.. and you need at least one direct ethernet connection to your router from a PC to ensure you can access it if things go t%ts up ..... wireless doesn't cut it for this.
