what's best to connect router to pc the ethernet or usb cable?

for routing ethernet is the only option isnt it

if coming straight out of a cable modem ethernet is still the better option

my router has 1 usb connection and 4 ethernet connections

for convenience yes wireless doesnt need a cable to the router but its slower and less reliable than using ethernet cable, so if its in the same room...stick with ethernet
