Default 4:3 to 16:9 resolution?

I've just upgraded my old crt to a widescreen tft. I never even thought about having to change the format beforehand but now I reaslise that there is no widescreen option in my display settings.

Am I looking at buying a new video card or can I download something that will do the trick?

Any advice is appreciated.

Have you updated your graphics card drivers recently ?

Most cards should support 16:10 resolutions (16:9 is for TV's), mines set at 1440x900.

Nope. Not since I rebuilt the system and lost all the drivers a couple of years ago.

Reckon it's worth a try?

Again nope. It's an ibm pc so the last time I needed drivers I just went onto their website, typed in the model number and downloaded i them from there.

Will give it a go and if I don't post up it's beacuse I've fubar'd it.

Cheers Dunk.
