Red face PSP Repairs

Anyone know where I can send a psp to get it repaired

They don't respond well to a 3 foot drop onto tiles

The hinge thing has buggered itself I'm afraid.

Hello

There are several replacement parts here: MrModchips The Number 1 Name In Console Modifications as you can probably do it yourself.

The hinge on the UMD door?
TBH, by taking it apart will void your warranty anyway, as you have to remove a sticker to get to one of the screws, so you are better of doing it yourself. There are plenty of guides on the net, and the spares are easily available on ebay.

Not bothered about warranty, not covered for accidental damage on my home insurance apparently

Spoken to someone who says they repair them but only for insurers and not privately

It is the hinge on the UMD door

Can you point me to a guide on the net?

I've used MRmodchips on several occasions and they're pretty good...
All the bits for PSP are listed here

My neighbours little lads PSP got dropped down the stairs and the right trigger button was intermittently locking afterwards so we ordered the replacement ribbon from MrModchips and stripped the PSP down to fit it.Bit daunting as most of the internals have to be stripped out of it but most things are possible....

They also supply replacement front plates which are handy if you have a PSP and it's all scratched.

Good luck

Nick
