Default Would like some simple advice re: videos if possible

I've recently had a new hard drive fitted and now and again this message appears when I try to play some videos..

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is located on the Internet, connect to the Internet. If the file is located a removable storage card, insert the storage card."

...even though I'm connected. I'm a bit of a computer thicky so nothing too technical please lads.

Here's an example of one that will not play:

Thanks in advance if you can help.

James

Evening Ron. The guy who fitted the hard drive (who put a load of top software on for me) advised that he'd installed "the best" codecs software which would play everything. Perhaps this is not the case. Any suggestions?

The delightfully named G-spot (GSpot Codec Information Appliance) will help you identify what Codec you need.
