Having recently discovered torrent reactor.net just wonder if anyone else who uses this particular site can advise me regards the coloured bar at the end off each file ie. the health off the download, appreciatte that the red coloured bars are a no go and should be avoided but tend to find that a lot off the files that I would like to d/load are coloured orange is this still a sign that the file should be avoided also ??

lastly any other torrent file sites that are worth looking at similar in style to torrent ractor.net ??

The colours are the health of the torrent (seeds/peers) you can download any green means it should be done quicker then red.Red doesn't mean no go just poor health.

Cheers for the replies guys , have checked out the " piratebay " site and must admitt it certainly contains slightly more than the torrentreactor site I was originally using !!

going back to the colours used on the torrentreactor at the end off each file to indicate the health, just wonder what you mean by the files health ??

Its the number of seed/leechs.
Example if you have more leechs (people who are downloading the file) than seeds (people who are uploading the file) than the health is poor (red to orange)
If you have more seeds than leechs the health is better (green).
What are you using as a torrent client?

Okay thanks for the explanation mate thats great, using BitTorrent as my client, only thing I notice is that the piratebay d/loads do seem toi take somewhat longer than the Torrentreactor.net one, another thing is I take it the more the file has been d/loaded the chances are it will be safer to d/load than new ones and that any found to have viruses etc are normally removed from the systmn ??

TBH never found any virus in any of my torrents but that doesn't mean there aren't any.
The more times its been downloaded just means how popular it is.
Download times also rely on upload speeds of the seeds
