I have networked my MacBook and my Wintel home office machine.

When I am out on the road I do work with clients and then when I home I use my desk PC as well. At the moment my 'work in progress' folder is a USB stick!! Not brilliant, especially when you leave it at home


My desire is that now I have networked my Mac into my Windows network is to be able to sync a work in progress folder. I have a big media drive attached to the network that is shared between the two machines for back up and media storage.

Are there any utilities that will enable me to regularly sync the files on my Macbook with the network storage. Nothing fancy is required - merely to update the work in progress folder with the latest versions at a file level not a delta level (although that would be very cool) as my work stuff is not done concurrently.

Have a peek at this. It *might* do what you want. I'm guessing the Mac would be using SMB to connect to the network drive?
