How do I unlock a mobile phone.
My wife wants to make use of my old Sony ericsson K750i - but because I got the phone from Orange its locked into that network, and my wife is on Vodafone.
What do I need to do to get the Vodafone SIM to work on the phone?

Do a search for total server or fonefunshop , they have a link for the software , the instructions and you have to buy a credit whish is about £8 .
Download the software and follow the guide , I did my se s700i will be doing my w850i and the kids w810i's it debrands and unlocks , well worth it .

Actually - I've just got the W850i as a replacement - what extra's will I get from debranding on this phone?

Debranding a w850i you will be able to use the track id function and be able to update the phones firmware from a menu and thery say fast operation etc .

look for davinci team,
they do unlocking (if i recall) and flash upgrades from K750i to 800i, which installs the walkman software, again 8 euro,s
had a bit of a mission doing it, but all ok

If you completed you contact phone Orange and ask for the unlock code. I did this with Voda the other day for my old P910i that I'm giving to my dad. cost me nothing for the code
