Default Firewall recommendations

I was using a free download of Sunbelt Kerio but couldn't understand how to let Azureus work through it as an exception so know i just use XPs firewall.
Using AVG7.5 (i know a lot of people on here aren't keen on it) and PrevX.
Any recommendations please
Thanks
Paul

I'd second Zone Alarm Pro. Run it on the Windows 2000 Servers here and it's not failed me yet

Cheers unfortunately Zonealarm won't work with PrevX (when i tried to install it it came up with a message about conflicts betwwen the 2 bits of software).
I'll have a look at Outpost Firewall.

Three words, Norton Internet Security

Should be able to pick it up for about £30 and you get anti-virus, adware blocking cleaning etc etc.

When you say resources hog Daz34 do you what exactly do you mean (i.e. heavy usage of memory or processor)?

Norton < shudder > Have not used it for a couple of years and have no intention of doing so. There are far better products out there.

I'm running Solo Antivirus, Zone Alarm Pro and Ad-Adware and they work very well indeed

Kerio works fine with Azeurus. You just need to allow inbound and outboud internet access on the "Network Security|Applications" tab for the Azeuruis program in the list.

If you're using a router then you need to forward whichever port you have configured for inbound Azeurus connections (but this is nothing to do with Kerio firewall settings).

TBh nothing just been speaking to our IT guys and they recommended getting a different one since MS products are more likely to be targeted by hackers and the such.

I wouldn't wouldn't worry too much about this. If you have an ADSL router you're probably pretty safe anyway

NIS 07 is far far less hoggy than previous versions and far less than McAfee 07.
