HP DC7700 x64??? Yeah Right ;)
Got a new pc for work, HP DC7700...
Saw the Pentium D badge and thought Windows xp x64 might as well go on.. booted it with the cd, trashed all partitions.. and installed it.. All looked good..
No network driver, or Video.. not abnormal with HP so went to their site only to find they dont support windows xp x64!! - And Im not interested in vista, just yet!
Not to be defeated, ended up getting drivers from manufacturers.. sound and network from intel's site, and sound was a Gigabit motherboard driver that used the same chipset..
Nothing like bodging something!, I bet in the next few weeks they stick the damn drivers up though!!
Been playing around with 2003 x64 Enterprise for a while, so its about time I administered them with a 64bit MMC Snap in
