Test Drive unlimited
Got this last night after having the download demo version and its pretty good, its the nearest version of real driving I have seen on a computer, think of a serious version of Midtown Madness and you arent to far off the mark.
Graphics are great, sometimes slows down a bit or glitches but not really a mega problem, plenty of cars and bikes to choose from, handling ok, not ground breraking but decent-ish and very fast, real sensation of speed, turn the driver aids off and it improves the experience.
Loads of roads to pound down and as usual stupid American teenagers that insist on playing Ferrari Dodgems and shouting 'owned'
Overall, pretty good.

I've hand my 360 for a month (my xbox live is about to expire, which reminds me to sort this out) and I've been stuck to this game for the month.
Its great. Graphics are brilliant.
I love the fact that you can actually buy a caterham!!
Not many races left now..

I love it. Was apprehensive at first cause I'd played PGR3 so much the handling felt so strange. As you say, once you've taken off the driving aids TDU works so much better.
It's the first game in ages I've been addicted to!
I steer clear of the multiplayer races. Leave me to my own island!

Bike handling definitely takes some getting used to. On the island tour race I won by some 10mins on the MV Agusta..
Great game....

I wish they adopted (ripped off) the MotoGP controls for the bikes.
Would love to powerslide round those mountain hairpins rather than practically stop dead to get round them!

Agreed, the bike handling is awful, you just can't shift it round corners quick enough . . . but then I've never ridden a real one Cracking game though Only let down I found was that you couldn't really let you mates have a go, well not mine anyway. They just crash into everyone too easily and get me fined

Yeah same thing happened to me! Let a mate have a go at the delivering a car mission, by the time he'd delivered the car there was 10k profit left, but by driving to the mission he'd have racked up 80k's worth of fines!

do you get fines from smashing into other cars (i.e the little police badge flashes). I'm saving up for the CLK GTR or whatever that fat mercedes is called. Currently got a 350z stune.

I actually quite liked some of the music in the game, when I figured out how the radio worked anyway
got 990 points out of it but it was never going to be a keeper for me - I wasnt prepared to have it long enough for the patch to appear just so I could get the last 10...

Ooer, that's new to me (I read a couple of months ago that it was in development hell, and was probably going to be canned).
