Microsoft drops Xbox update clanger
Microsoft's Autumn Xbox 360 update is causing consoles to freeze at random intervals during play.
The snafu aparently affects all games. The update was bugled on the Xbox community site as "another 85 reasons why 360 rocks".

Only affecting a very small number of users though. My console has seemed much faster (in the dash) than before the update and I don't personally know anyone that has had issues. Why they think this is 'news' or a 'clanger' is beyond me

Lego starwars has stopped working for my brother since the update, (freezing every few minutes), but it works fine on my console. All his other games are ok...

Ill find out when i get mine back from the service centre AGAIN. 
I'm not bitter about not having my 60 for nearly four weeks though!!

I only had one problem with Lego Star Wars, when playing the ROTJ super story, i would just leave the Ewoks tree house section, go to cross a small river and mine froze, it did it twice. bearing in mind it takes roughly 40mins play to get to this section. Thank god it worked third time, was starting to grate a bit

GRAW seems to be a bit more fluid online sine the update - and so does the dashboard in general - my console still locks up but not as often as before, and the only game that seems to lock up is Football Manager.
