Any Mac chaps using an Elgato Hybrid device for TV?
#2
What exactly do you mean by "Hybrid TV Device" ?
I use a pair of Elgato Home devices . . . which are hard wired i.e. 100Mb Ethernet the only issues I have found is ripped movies i.e. .vob files will not play sound unless you have an optical device to connect to.
Music playback is OK but it is now iTunes if you know what I mean...
Photo display is good but it could be better.
Overall 7 out of 10
It might be worthwhile waiting for the Apple iTV product launch Q1 2007. But will it allow divx/AVI playback, Apple has issues with non-DRM media files and have scart connections as DVI is great but RGB SCART is still the No. 1 input connection.

I use the Elgato DTT stick prior to that one (without analogue) and, since the latest software update, it's very good. Supplied aerial goes straight to the bin, you really need to plug your main aerial in - even if your digital reception is excellent. Software is great, picture quality is excellent as is the ability to burn straight to DVD or convert to iPod/PSP.
