My first hard drive was 5meg!!!! cant remember but I think it was made by Seagate and was 5 1/4 inches high!
I found a Conner hard drive a few weeks ago while cleaning out some boxes in the loft, which was 1 gig!

It too was for my Amiga 1200. I later Upgraded to a 240mb one.....and thought it was HUGE!

In my last place, we found 4 x ~240mb SCSI hard disks. They were 5 1/4 inch full height jobs. We fitted them in a huge tower and used as a fileserver. When powered up, the lights dimmed and the whole thing vibrated like crazy.
Ah, what geeky fun

I remember fitting 20MB drives in PCs when I worked in a PC bild workshop (1987). In my first PC the 40MB drive had to be split into two partitions as DOS 3.3 would only address 33MB volumes.
