Xbox: Help connecting to Television
Hello
A bit of a strange question, but how do I connect my Xbox to the TV?! At the moment I am using the RGB inputs on the front, but would really like to use one of the plethora of inputs on the back.

Thanks for any help,
Steve

The best quality way would be to use the component inputs you have there, the red/green/blue phono sockets, then optical for sound. RGB inputs on the front you say? A bit strange, pics?
Alternatively, use the advanced scart as above.

Best for quality will be the component sockets (5 cables - 3 for picture, 2 for audio), after that go for RGB SCART.
Not all your SCART's will be RGB enabled though - its usually "AV1" though.
I doubt it will be component on the front - it'll be composite, 2 sockets yellow for video and red/white for the 2 audio channels - you may also have an S-Video socket (5 pin, looks like a DIN socket)

You see, that's what I though. But the three "Component Video" sockets just don't work. The green one vaguely works, but everything is black & white.
I guess I'll have to look for an RGB/SCART convertor thing.
Thanks,
Steve

Try your Xbox settings for component output - there may be 2 choices - Y/Pb/Pa (or whatever it is) & RGB, sounds like you just have the wrong one selected on the box for the TV to recognise.
PS - I know you've stated Xbox - but is it actually a 360? If it is I can go and check the settings for you if you like.

You'll need the component cable to unlock the extra settings.
