Question Internet Providers

which ones do I currently need to avoid I am with AOL at the mo, who as you all know are not very good at all in fact they are blaiming windows for the problems I have now and vice versa.
Does anyone know the quickest and easiest way to cancel with them we pay 17.99 per month for broadband as I have heard horror stories of people being on the phone to them for 50 minutes plus and still not being able to cancel!!

Just want unlimited usage for broadband for less or the same as what we are paying now

thanks

it will be 1mb then. you wont get a true unlimited service other than aol. you can get it for less but certainly wont be unlimited and will have caps, traffic shaping, throttling and a fair use policy.

maybe they do have a fup and i used it thoughily as when i gave notice when i wanted it closed, they closed it a week early. guess they didnt mind seeing me leave

one phonecall to AOL they have reduced my monthly charge to £14.99 and are sending out a free wireless router, so they cant be all bad, especially as there seems to be no other provider that can offer the same service
