eps /HQX file?

eps /HQX file?
My designer, who works on a mac (Using Illustrator I think) has emailed me a couple of logos in eps format, I use Photoshop on a pc. There's never been a compatibilty problem before but I just cant open the buggers and looking at the file I noticed that though they are .eps files they also have HQX in the filename, which I have never seen before.
Can anyone suggest anything? Its for a job Im supposed to send to print tonight

are you running a Mac?
I've always thought that hqx suffixes were a Mac-native thing....
If you are running Mac, try downloading "stuffit" expander......
