Default Wireless help please

I am looking to solve a temporary problem

I am having to share an NTL connection.

I would like to connect my desktop to a router so I can use it elsewhere in the house

Can anyone recommend a cheap but reliable piece of kit which will solve my problem.

Presumably I need a NTL Broadband wireless router & I assume a usb Dongle ????

Thanks guys I know you will come up trumps

I'm using a Linksys WRT54GS on NTL with no problems. Xbox, 360, PS2, laptop and PC all connected with no problems for the last 6mths +

Paul,

I use a Netgear wireless router, which is connected to the NTL cable box.

Laptops are obviously fine to the router, but I'm waiting for a wireless PCI card for my desktop, which is nowhere near the router (and I didn't want to run network cable in the house)

If you get a router and USB dongle, I can give you a hand setting it up (probably tomorrow evening)

Cheers
Andy

This is the update model of the one I have: http://www.netgear.co.uk/extra/h_wir...ter_wgr614.php

Remember to get a cable/broadband router, and not an ADSL one!

http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/96755 - This is a reasonable price for a wireless router and USB dongle.

We use a lot of the D-Link stuff at work, with no major issues.
