Default File Recovery Software

The GM's wife has lost a couple of excel documents on her laptop. He is bringing it in to work tomorrow for me to sort.

I have used File Recovery software previously with success but can't for the life of me remeber what it was i used.

Any reccomendations, that i can "aquire" free of charge would be great

Cheers

Tim

don't want to teach you to suck eggs, but you'll get better results if you slave the HDD from another computer and not run the disk recovery software on the target machine.

As usual what seems like a small job is turned into a pretty big one. The couple of files has turned into an estimated 120!!

Not having a great deal of luck, does anyone have Easy Recovery as an ISO and fancies uploading it?

Cheers!

Also try PC Inspector File Recovery (FreeWare) which I have used with some success (colleague managed to format a harddrive with data on it).
