Making a website??!
Hi all
Unfortunately, I may have to learn how to make our companies website...
I have looked at basic html years ago, and thats about it.
I can work out how to resize change images through Photoshop CS Suite, and I have an old Dreamweaver 2 package.
Now the website doesnt have to be all singing and all dancing.
Intro page, with links to a few sections.
Then in each section pictures and a breif description of the items - maybe if im feeling adventurous try getting the images to pop up if clicked into a larger view?
But thats it really, nothing that will play tunes, or cause my pc to explode if I hit the ESC button. The graphics side of it I can do with Photoshop - now I have only played with this, not used it for work, just use it to resize pictures every now and then - im no graphic designer.
Once I can get a few pages to link together I will then ask the dreaded question about understanding ftp and how the hell I get my website from my desktop to the WWW.
Are there any good online tutorials or books that will go hand in hand with DW2? Any advice out there?

Suppose it's personal choice, and if you have time constraints and simply just want to "get it done" then by all means try frontpage or even better, dreamweaver (much better). Only problem with those GUI tools is that they often slap in loads of specifics or do things in ways you wouldnt normally do.
Personally, if you actually want to "learn" how to do HTML page creating, the best tools you need are 1) access to the net to look up tutorials/examples and 2) Notepad.

Thanks for all the details, in the end, using the ftp program I managed to copy my existing site and I will be able to tweak that as and when I see fit.
Thanks again for the replies.
