My computer has gone into safe mode, what do I do?

Unhappy My computer has gone into safe mode, what do I do?

Anyone help??

Try a reboot, should come up in 'normal' mode again.....

done all that, I can use it but my screen looks like all the color has been taken out in places, I have a fairly new19" monitor just can't seem to work it out.

You sure it is in safe mode and it's not your display settings that have dropped !!

Right Click on the Desktop > Properties > Settings

Right Click on the Desktop > Properties > Settings
Seconded. When you go into 'Safemode' a warning box comes up telling you so before you get to the desktop.
I have known windows to sometimes not detect your Graphics card correctly and puts itself into a Windows graphics mode.
Also with you just plugging in a new monitor, may need a driver to make it work properly.

Sounds like a dodgy connection to the graphic port, or perhaps the monitor just needs a degausse

Degausing resets the Magnetic field on CRT monitors (Funny colouring on the edges of the screen caused by the earths magnetic fileds). And does not effect how many colours you can have on a screen. Besides TFT/LCD screens don't have this feature, as magnets arn't used to produce a picture.
