Default networking guru's please

I have noticed the increase in usage of these dam webmessengers at my work, it was fine with msn or yahoo as i could keep an eye on things but this is proving a lot harder for me, spent all day googling to try and get more info on basically how to keep an eye out but not having much success.

any ethereal users or advanced network admins that have sniffer experience ? or experience of decoding http etc....

I have quite a few questions.

Might be worth speaking to a guy called Toby Sparrow. We are looking at the IM auditor software package but they also do a IM blocker called FaceTime as well. They offer free trials which are worth checking out.
