Gran Turismo 4 question.......
Am on the last series in Professional Events and need a race car, not touring car type but proper Le Mans style race car.
I can go and get credits and buy one for 4.5 million but is there an easy way of getting a race car capable of winning the final event in Professional Events?
Only done Beginner Events and Professional Events so not very far into it with only 100,000 credits (spent millions doing cars up!) so whats the best advice?

Your best bet is to do the other Halls (US/Euro/Jap) to unlock the Endurance Hall, then you get some really tasty motors. IIRC the last event in the series is LeSarthe? IMHO dont let B-Spec Bob anywhere near it. I used the Merc GTR, but if things start getting a little tight you can always start cutting that first corner off by going through the sandpit...
Missions just take a bit of practice - hardest one for me was the Thunderbird around Seattle - it handles like a sofa!

Going back to the original question, I found the Mazda 787B (or whatever it's called) to be the best handling.... Certainly dont go for the Merc CLK thing..... it's crap...

I never said CLK - I said GTR
Audi R8 is a great car - you can get the full 200 A-spec points in the Formula GT races with that.

the problem with B-spec bob is the car ride height is too low as standard and it bounces him off going down the lesarthe straight. Just put it up a bit and it doesn't drive like a total tard anymore

So for the Extreme hall...
Audi R8 will bag quite a lot of points in many of the events inc Gran Turismo All stars.
Dream Car Championship - Aston DB9 modded to 638bhp.
Polyphony Digital Cup - Dodge RAM modded to 665 bhp will nad 200 points in each race.
Like The Wind - McLaren SLR will get 200 points.
Formula GT - the Audi R8 can get very high points in each race but you really need the F1 car.
Real Circuit Tours - R8 again
Premium Sports Lounge - M3
It should be noted though that if your going for the max a spec points that a lot of it depends on the otehr competitors cars - theres usually a choice of 9 or 10 cars and the computer picks 5 at random.
Extreme Hall is great - you need to work out pit strategy's - something sorely lacking in PGR. Having said that you'll probably **** yourself when you see the number of laps in some of the races - Formula GT for example includes 127 of Super Speedway, 15 of Norschleife, 23 of Le Sarthe, 85 of Laguna Seca... catch my drift?
oh and yes I am a member of GT Planet!

I was using a Fairlady Z LM thingy - can't remember if it went up to stage 3 or 4 turbo - but that won most things in the Professional hall until I managed to get the F1 thingy

If you value your win ratio, keep clear of B Spec Bob esp on the shorter events.

I saw one driver in that Sauber thingy and it ran out of petrol, so got limited to 80mph for the rest of the lap, then it just drove straight past the pits... I lapped him twice on the same lap

I've checked every trophy and they all look gold to me.
I guess I'm going to have to swap cars to enter each series to look more closely
