Default Wireless routers

Evening All

Im going wireless but dont really know which router to get.

Im on AOL Broadband and the modem is ADSL ( USB ) I need to run my PC the G/F's laptop and my XBOX 360.

Can some advise me which to get,what i need to get.

Get yourself an ADSL wireless router, something by Netgear, 3com or Belkin should do the job. Less than £100 should get you a 4 port job that will fit the bill nicely.

Check out www.misco.co.uk or somewhere similar.

Just a word of warning that AOL are really picky with the choice of ADSL Routers/modems

I would advise you talk to AOL customer support to get an approved list then shop around for the best price from somewhere like misco or scan etc...

This way should you run into any problems they can't spin you the line that "you are using unsupported adsl modem/router"

Just my two pence based upon being an AOL customer in a past life!!!

best advice i can give is drop AOL like a bad habit.

Someone i know bought a router they recommended and it still kept dropping the connection at random intervals and aol didnt help them one bit

just my personal opinion on aol is that they dont support what they are supposed to

Dlink seem good, thats what I use, do a search on Ebay for Digital Dave, top service !

Dratek also work as im using that for me mam. She is being migrated very soon to another ISP
