Does anyone here use BT Wireless broadband?

Any comments?

I am looking at the 2mg download, montly limit of 20gig.

For £26pm seems pretty good.

bulldog broadband do a 2 meg unlimited for 24.99 a month.

Do you get the wireless gear though with BT? If you do, I know that their wireless routers/modems are cr@p

I've been wit BT for the past 2 yrs or so.........

Got a wireless router setup (bought it myself - DG834g)

NEVER had a problem with them.......

Bulldog are fine once working but do not expect any level of customer service from them it is non-existent (as in be put on hold for 45-60 minutes and then cut off)

I was planning on using their "free" modem, is this a bad idea?

Obviously if it plays up they will send me a new one.

Any real objections to their gear?

I've been with BT BB for over a year now.. initially with wired connection but have recently upgraded to their wireless routers and have had zero problems with them so far

I use the 2MB unlimited btw

Currently been with BT BB for 3 years now. Ended up buying my own Wireless set-up and not had any issues. Currently on the 2mB package.

I am considering moving to ZEN. Due to BT capping the connection.

I have had BT broadband 2gig lilmit for 3 months nothing bad about the service so far!A bit of a mix up on the activation date. Nothing to serious though

The wireless router i have, sometimes its good others times it ****! As a modem it does the job. As a wireless router, wel???????? although i have sorted the problem now. I do get full signal all over the house.

I changed the channel it was transmitting on form 8 to 11 and now it works great! I think my phone and video transmitter were on channel 8 as well so there was interference!

if you are intending on usinging your router to vpn to a work connection I would stay clear of the BT wireless router

if you are just wanting to browse the internet,

you will get it much cheaper i.e e7

but when you go with a firm such as BT, Tescos , Demon, Zen, AOL , Tiscalli you will get good after sales and little problems - you pays your money

Me too, although I've been with them for longer. I like the fact I have 2 Gigs of email on-line, with spam/virus filter etc. You also get free anti-virus/trojan etc. for your PC.

They aren't the cheapest, but when I signed up there was no BB alternative. Now I'm kinda locked in as I don't want to change my email address, but all the freebies etc. make up for the cost imho.

WR - would you mind explaining this statement? Reason I ask is that I use VPN in to my workplace and don't seem to have any problems with it so was wondering if there is some kind of security issue with this one that you know of?
