Default Freeview thru PC

Saw on the gadget show last night one of these http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=127864 lets you watch freeview via USB on your PC, looks ok for the money, anyone got one and any feedback on it?

They didn't show it working, rings alarm bells for me, especially as they'd taken the time to plug it in.

lots of good reviews!

The people that moan about the crap aerial are a bit daft IMHO, its always going to work better with a proper one on the roof. The EPG is not meant to be very good but for the price i dont think you can go wrong. Ive not ordered one yet!

I have one of these Freecom things, kills the PC unless I run it directly off the USB port (not through a hub)

S/W is naff IMHO, they should be able to do better

But it does work, I'm using an external aerial

I have the freecom one as well, it does the job just fine for me

Am wondering if you guys that are using the Freecom's, do you use external aerials? By that I mean have you got them plugged into the main house one?

I've got an internal PCI one which seems to be struggling on the signal and I've tried connecting to both an amplified portable one and the main house one (all be it via a rather long extension lead and amplifier)?
