Changing File Types
I've recently bought a Packard Bell plug in (USB) 400Gb hard drive. In order to edit videos, I need to change the file type from FAT32 to NTFS.
Armed with my Windows XP for Dummies book I started to do this via Start/run/CMD etc but having got to convert C: /fs:ntfs it started asking questions that I didn't understand (which is very little) Can anyone give me step by step help

Can't you just plug the drive in, then open 'My Computer', locate the drive, right-click on it and select 'Format...'
Then make sure NTFS is selected and off you go.
In fact, you could probably even select the 'Quick format' option as there is no data on the drive(I assume)

Thanks for that D16GER, but did you have to make it so obvious
There was stuff on the new drive but I moved it elsewhere and did the quick format.
