Default Strange folder

I have a folder entitles "e43b68094d390d39c1e2dd731f" on my second drive. It has within it a second folder called "i386".

I cannot neither open or change the properties of this folder.

Any idea what it is and why I can't touch it?

Have you ran a chkdsk recently?

The "i386" bit suggests that it's an orphan upgrade directory for some program or other - are there any clues in the i386 folder (distinctive .exe filenames for instance)?

Usually folder names like that stem from windows security patch installations.
Have you installed any MS hotfixes recently or is your PC set to auto install them? (They should be deleted automatically after installation but sometimes they can be left behind)
My money's on something like that anyway

Sorry boys been away to Paris for a few days

The folder has been there for ages to be honest, its on my 2nd HD so I don't worry about it too much. It doesn't seem to be causing any harm but I cannot delete it or even open it which worries me a little. Al adware/virus checks are clear.
