Default Memory?

Just been looking for memory and found i can get 2 Gig for 85 quid delivered. Just don't know what they mean by "unbuffer non-ecc"

Anyone got any ideas?

1GB DDR Memory 184Pin DIMM DDR400 Unbuffer Non-ECC Memory

Cheers

It basically means that the RAM your buying has no Error Checking and Correction. Normally reserved for Server PCs. As these are classed as mission critical.
ECC RAM has an extra Chip for checking information toing and going for any errors. It costs more.

Best to find the make / model of your motherboard and go to a site such as http://www.crucial.com/uk/

That will recommend the type of memory you need.. i.e. speed - DDR / DDR2.
