Is there any way of getting this highly addictive game onto my PC?

How I miss the old ones!

I think a bit more effort may be required ... not one of the links (game download related) on that page work!

I did all the searches and downloaded a Speccy emulator onto which I put a copy of Elite.

Problem was, there was no way of saving the game.

Elite is not a game to be played in one sitting!

As a kid I must have wasted endless hours on it just to get my ship upgraded.

Is the game out on pc or can I only get it via an emulator?

Ted.

Is this what you're looking for ?

http://www.abandonia.com/games/en/113/Elite.htm

There are loads of old games on there!

If you want other old games, have a look at

http://www.abandonwarering.com/

And use the search function. You can't download ALL of the games listed (some are still for sale), but if you keep searching, you just may find it!

Which Spectrum emulator? It should allow you to save any game at any point in
snapshot (.sna) format, you save it from the emulator and just load it at the same point again. Helps with Elite since in the game you have to be docked to save
