WRC5 Evolved PS2
Just got wrc5 for christmas.
After wrc4 I am disappointed with the handling. Serious understeer and unpredictable handling which I can't alter no matter what you do with the set up.
No where near as much of a drivers game as the last one imo where you could place cars inch perfect and set them up well.
Does anybody know what the song is though played on the intro though. It's Also used on the WRC dvd's. Tried looking in the end credits to no avail.
Base guitar, dum di de dum
One take control of me
Your messing with the enemy
two its another trick
Ahahh.
Say that I want you..
Comments on the game also welcome.

Get yourself Richard Burns Rally, if you already haven`t
WRC Evolved, WRC Disolved more like. I thought it was pants, not enough stages, the co-drivers voice is dreadfull I couldn`t put up with listening to him talking crap.
Good points, I liked the handling and the pace notes were a bit better than WRC4, just.
Cant help you with the song though, try looking in the back of the instruction manual.

The last WRC game I played before getting WRC Evolved was WRC 2 - big improvement on that in terms of the handling and the pace notes - 50 meters notice of a square left when you are airborne is not a lot of use! - but there seem to be a lot of backward steps, like the reduced number of stages.
There are also so many little things that they could have done slightly better to make the game a bit better - like not having the switch between two "drivers eye" views when you are at the start light and the lights go out.
Still, it's keeping me quiet - just watching the replay of one of my stages, and it has to be said, sometimes I impress even myself

Try WRC 5 with a proper Logitech steering wheel and you soon appreciatte it a lot more. I like the more free roaming idea of crashing through the speccy tape and watching them scatter while trying to control a fish tailing Quattro. Also liking the adjust the co drivers distance to corner calls and the unknown danger around the corner aspect
Dissappointed at the reduction in number of stages
RB is still the top dog for realism IMHO

I think I may be investing in RB rally then, and a new CD cheers.
A few good additions to WRC Evolved, but IMO the handling seems to have suffered as a consequence.
Dont like the stopwatch ticking starting sequence. Never quite sure when to hit 1st gear.
WRC4 is the daddy for me.
