19" LCD Monitor - whats the "real" diff?
I bought the girlfriend a Hyundai ImageQuest B71A which has an 8ms panel on it. Pending some testing this weekend on my pc with games, I wouldnt mind getting the 19" B91A model as its a really nice monitor.
The price for the B91A is approx £230. Checking out the next price level I see the Hyundai ImageQuest Q90U at £340. The only differences appear to be:
i) It has both dvi and d-sub connections. I have the 17" connected via d-sub and it looks fine. Will dvi make any noticeable difference?
ii) It has a 3ms panel
iii) It has a headphone connection and integrated speaker - I have no use for either.
Basically what Im asking is whether its worth spending an extra £90ish quid to get a dvi connector and a panel thats 5ms faster. I dont mind spending the extra money as long as I get something back for it.
My main use for the PC is gaming (CS:Source 99% of the time).
Cheers,
Simon.

I assume they both have the same native resolutions as well (sorry couldn't be ar$ed to google each of them )?
I make £110 quid difference as well
I'd be keen to see if the extra 5ms was noticeable, and if so, I'd go for the faster panel. I suppose with the extra inputs you'd have more options for using it as a TV and for connecting to consoles, etc.

I doubt very much if you will notice the difference on source anything sub 10ms and you shouldnt notice a thing.
At the end of the day 5ms is damn fast, but is it worth the extra cash if you could not notice the difference between the 5ms and the 9ms?

Been playing CS Source all weekend on the B71A and its excellent. At first I wasnt sure on the colours but after some adjustments the picture is excellent and no lag/ghosting when playing. In fact I would go as to say the fps is higher and smoother on this TFT. I think my IIyama CRT can say good bye and make way for a B91A as I see no need for a 3ms panel.
