Question Good e-retailer for PC bits?

I'm familiar with Dabs, Ebuyer, Aria, Scan, Savastore, Misco, Insight etc., but was wondering if anyone knows of another reliable, reasonably-priced supplier for my Christmas PC-build project?

TIA

I still think Overclockers is good when the parts are in stock.

Just hope you don't have to deal with them for warranty/doa.. They use to have a phone help line that was hard to get through on and they use to answer emails. I'm not sure what their policy is now.. I had a cpu that was doa and it took 2 months before I got the replacement part.

Agreed. They're fatal for selling stock they don't have.

We've learned the hard way that if you can't touch it, you shouldn't sell it on your website....they should take a leaf!

They use a note system now. I had a minor problem with my last order last week, where an item was incorrectly described on their site (a freebie which should have been in it was missing). Whole issue was sorted the day I posted my note, and the freebie arrived the next day.

Looked at the processor I want just to guage their relative competitiveness and Dabs is still cheapest for the retail box - LOW for the OEM version.

Thanks for the input.

Used ebuyer for a long time - put A LOT of money through them.

Got fed up of deliveries being late/non existant. Poor CS and worst of all, sending 2nd good!

Use Aria now. Normally next day delivery and good service / products. Never had to send anything back.

It's a good job - I've been waiting over a year for a £100 credit off the set of useless tw*ts. Useless - avoid.

ebuyer has appalling customer service, but theyre cheap.

overclockers are a tad more expensive but only sell top quailty stuff.

scan is easiest fer me, coz i can just nip out and pick stuff up.

I've had good experience recently of using ebuyer returns. Better than other smaller outfits I've had difficulties with.

I only ever use Overclockers and Scan. Dabs if I really need to but hate the layout of their website.

7dayshop for stuff like flash cards and card readers as always dirt cheap.

Cheers,
Simon.
