Anyone use Skype?
Thoughts on the above please, been looking into it as I will be making regular phone calls to Australia & Spain in the near future.
Good idea or waste of time & money?

Yup, also to aus. Not a waste of time. Quality can be variable - sometimes it's worth retrying a few times. but it works well. certinly worth the money.
Would note that I use this from my hotel room as I'm abroad also, and my forward thinking hotel provides free internet access through a lan port in the room!
When at home I use 18866 - a carrier pre-select service (www.18866.com / co.uk) who are fairly cheap. There doesn't appear to be a snag, and it's 2p/min to oz landlines. Proper phone call quality.
HTH.

Yes i use it to phone pc to pc , i also use the skypeout option to call my girlfriend in America.
Occasionally there is a delay, but as stated, it's worth retrying.
I use ratebuster (http://www.ratebuster.co.uk/) all the time too when i'm not near a pc.. 1p a minute to usa !!!
I think it's 2p a minute to Australia, you don;t have to sign up for anything either!
