Terminal Services
Can I get it to run in the same way that remote desktop does? Our phone system call center software doesn't run as a service - but we need to log into the machine remotely (VNC isn't quite working well enough with the apps). When I log in on TS (even with same username) it loads a new session (which autoruns the call center apps again ). Need to be able to access the one on the console.
TS is set to admin mode - but didn't help.

Open a command prompt and type "mstsc.exe /?" without the quotes.
This will give you the syntax to connect to the console session

Oh i appear to have found a way to make them run as a proper service. Bit of a pain that we can't access the console - but at least we the remote admin will be fine.
