File date editing software???

Having edited my photos in a directory, I wanted to do a slideshow. - I can only sort by date which is date last modified - which is not the order that the photos were taken in!

Does anyone know of a package to change over the 'Date Modified' date with the 'Date Picture Taken' information? Preferably as a batch job & preferably free

Exif viewers/editors in some of the freeware download sites are what you need.

In XP right click on the top titles in detailed view and select the option 'date picture taken' then use it to sort them.

Cheers guys...

I have tried loads of free download sites - most of the utilities are to manually change the dates, 1 file at a time...

I need the dates changing so other software can pick up on the dates not just XP.
