Telewest Broadband FYI
Price of the 4mb package is to be reduced to £32.99/month (current 2mb price)
2/4mb subscribers will have their bandwith increased to 10mb
1mb subscribers will be cranked up to 4mb at no extra cost.
Effective shortly

The only gripe I have with Blueyonder is that they should offer their lowest speedsat a much cheaper rate. Some people (like my Mum) just don't need all that bandwidth. It's great for me and I'm willing to pay extra for 10Mb uncapped, but for my Mum £25 is a lot just for a broadband Internet connection. I think Blueyonder will lose some customers to cheaper ADSL services. And like most businesses, they only offer decent deals to new customers - that really pi$$es me off!!

I'm sure my Mum pays £25 for 512Kb I'll phone and ask her to check. Hope they haven't dropped the price for "new customers" over the last 6-12mths
I agree it's a good deal. They could offer 512Kb for a tenner uncapped and give people the option to leave the 2Mb upgrade.

Think its 15quid to new customers and 18quid for existing ones

Is this a wind-up?
Can't see any mention of this offer anywhere on Telewest or Blueyonder site.
I've got 1Mb at the mo', so you're saying they are upgrading 1Mb users to 4Mb at no extra cost and it's still unlimted?
If it is true it's cheap getting 4Mb for £25 a month.

Copyright protection will be the only hurdle (not that it's terribly effective at the moment )

They should be grateful that they'd get 2-3 quid for a stream rather than **** all, with 10meg connection I’ll be able to DL a film in an hour or so from the news groups
