XP Pirates alert
Hello
Just to warn anyone not using a valid version of XP that Windows Update now does a check to see if it is genuine. Apparently even some of the key generators that have generated valid keys are checked against the ones that have actually been released by MicroSoft.

Yep, most VLK keys generated by the Keygens will not work - although there is a certain range that will apparantley.
There's also a couple of ways around it.....but for how long I'm not sure.

yep sure are. helps greatly with scripted installations of XP. it tends to get a bit tedious doing 30 installs a day and having to sit in front of each machine sticking in individual keys.

In the US, there were some offers to purchase a legal version for a bit less than normal.
I wonder if m$ sold their OS for £25 to £30 a go they'd be less pircacy.

heh cracked in 24hrs by a piece of jscript code that is so simple its beggers belief that MS didn't even think of it. When MS get around this 'crack' it will then be cracked again, you can be sure of that
Thing is if you have autoupdates on, set in control panel, then it still works anyway apparently. As ure PC checks with MS for new updates, and then MS sends you the install file. Its only when you visit the website and u have a bad key that it wont work.
Alot of ppl with valid corp keys are been told the keys are invalid to, when theyre not. Problem is alot of the corp keys have been distributed around the net, and then blacklisted by MS. As usual MS hasnt really thought about the implications of their update
