XP question - trying to find sberet.msi when opening office
hi
can anyone help with this odd ball - whenever the computer first starts MS office up it opens up the windows installer to tyr and load up "sberet.msi"
Anyone else having this? Anyone know a solution. Looked on the MS site and not much luck so far
thanks
Neil

do you have access to an office cd, which version by the way? the file should be on the cd unless its installed via a network
i just checked my version of 2003 and couldnt find that msi file on there.

See here
You need to insert your Office SBE CD - the file is present in the root directory. This assumes of course, that you're running Office SBE on your system - if not, then it would appear that the update thinks you are and you may have a problem.

Its on the small business retail version of Office 2003.
So I take it you must have that version Neil.
As mike says, if you have the Office cd, put it in and "point" to the cd location.
Just to add the equivalents :
pro.msi = Office 2003 Professional
proret.msi = Office 2003 Professional Retail
std.msi = Office 2003 Standard
stdret.msi = Office 2003 Standard Retail
sberet.msi = Office 2003 Small Business Retail
